Tupperware Trends

Tupperware has brought out some great new products for our Fall catalog! While at our national rally in Orlando, I was privileged to bring home a brand new Grater Master Shredder!

Remember the old salad master from years ago? This is the newest version of it. It will grate (fine or coarse) cheeses- soft or hard, almonds & other nuts, chocolate, and pretty much anything.

The base suction cups down to your counter for non slip security. Add your chunk of cheese & grind away.

Have you ever seen the article about the little white powder on your shredded cheese from the grocery store? Wood pulp cellulose... yep, just a filler to make it not stick... Instead, you can grate a whole block in one of our Thatsa bowls, add about a Tablespoon of cornstarch and mix well. You have created your own non sticking shredded cheese that you can freeze in smaller containers! Why waste money & have additives in your food?

Who loves hash browns & not the cost of the frozen ones. Make your own hash browns. One of the biggest problems with homemade hash browns is getting all the moisture off of them. We watched the Tupperware chef use one of our microfiber towels to squeeze/soak up all the moisture from the potatoes. Worried about the brown oxidization stain on the towel afterwards? Just rinse! How easy is that!

So this pairs up nicely with my Fusion Master which chops up my ham for breakfast burritos. I will now not have to buy hash browns for them! WOO HOO!

This has just gone on sale for $99. Contact me or order now thru my website at www.my.tupperware.com/homemadebybillie You will be able to accessorize your Grater Master with the Fusion Master attachment & the Juice Master too. And we have to accessorize, right!

Here is a youtube video from the Nordic Tupperware line. We don't have all 4 graters, just the fine & coarse, but you can see how easy it is to work!

Have a wonderful week!

Tupperware Modular Mates! SALE!!

Tupperware Modular Mates!

Ok, I love a great sale! Tupperware is offering up my favorite modular mates for a limited time! These happen to be the first pieces of Tupperware I actually bought when I was in Alaska! WOO HOO Tupperware Party!

The Modular Mate Super Ovals are so sleek & fit your pantry shelf. I personally invested in the flip top lid & use them for our cereal. With 4 yr old twins, you never know if Grace will want her Fruit Loops or Josey will want Daddy's cereal (Golden Grahams). I know when I need to go to the store & stock back up! I also have them stocked with the different pastas I pick up on sale and rice. Oh, and protein shake mix, and oatmeal, and dry milk... Ok, I love them, I use them, a lot!

Super Ovals come in 5 sizes - and your choice of red or black lids
1 - 3 1/2c
2 - 7 1/2c
3 - 11 3/4c
4 - 16 1/2c
5 - 20 1/3c

The Modular Mate Rectangles are also a favorite! I have one filled with first aid supplies (perfect for under the van seat, one with the granola bars and peanut butter crackers from Sam's Club, and Legos, lots of Legos! They do come in 4 sizes.

1 - 8 1/2c
2 - 18c
3 - 27 1/2c
4 - 37c

You will want to get the size 1 - it is perfect for those pesky Oreos... but purchase 2 of them... One is for the pantry Oreos, and the second is for Mommy's Oreos (hiding place will not be mentioned!). I also use the #4 for my flour. I love to bake so I am constantly buying flour in bulk.

Did you know that the US military will only allow Tupperware to be used when relocating the families? That is because of the seal which will not allow any bugs, critters or whatever to get into the food.

I do have a great guideline for your modular mates & how much they hold so you can email me at homemadebybillie@gmail.com & just ask!

Want more great deals? How about our matching seasoning containers? Purchase the large set (each are 1c capacity) and get the small set (1/2c capacity) for FREE!

Tupperware Trio is on Sale!

Tupperware Trio!

It is back to school time - you need breakfast, lunch & dinner fast! Why not try our Tupperware Trio - it is the breakfast maker, the mini rice cooker & pasta maker for just $35!! That is a savings of $31!

Breakfast maker:
Do you love omelets? Egg sandwiches? Egg cordon bleu? These are my favorite foods to cook in my breakfast maker. 2 eggs, dash of water & 2 minutes in the microwave! Since my son is an egg fanatic, this is a quick way to make his breakfast. Perfect for the college dorm room or small apartment.

Here is a quick youtube video showing just how easy it is!

Mini Rice Cooker:
This is perfect for the single serving of rice! Why make a huge batch of rice that will just get tossed when you can make the perfect amount! I remember having rice and raisins as a child. Just add a handful of raisins when you are cooking your rice, add some milk & sugar & voila, you have an easy tasty treat!

Pasta Maker:
This is the product I use almost as much as I use the SmartSteamer! WHY? Well, why wait for water to boil over, just to have it boil over & then be overcooked? The pasta maker is so simple. Add pasta (up to a pound), then add water, I personally use a handful of table salt also to season the pasta (try it, you might like it!). Place in the microwave without the lid. 9 minutes for elbow macaroni, or 14 min for your bow tie or other specialty pasta. BEEP BEEP goes the microwave, remove from microwave & cover with lid for easy safe water draining!

Here is a video for the pasta maker!

Why Tupperware? Isn't it just plastic crap?

Why Tupperware?

I love Tupperware because it is a quality product. Enough said. After 65 years, Tupperware is an international sales beast & cannot be rivaled!

Maybe I love it for versatility? My Stack Cooker makes corn on the cob in 10 min, my steamer will make sliders or veggies, or both, my 16oz tumblers are not only big kid cups (sippy cup lids fit them), but they hold my frozen cookie dough - cause really, who wants to be baking cookies for 2 hrs?

I love Tupperware because I get 25-35% off anything I order (membership has its privileges - just ask!).

I love Tupperware because I can stay at home with my 3 yr old twins & still contribute to the family.

I love Tupperware for the gadgets - from the pasta cooker, to breakfast maker, to the pool friendly plastic wine glasses...

enough said...

well, there maybe not... they have great sales - like this one - Ends July 26th - email me at homemadebybillie@gmail.com if you want to score these great deals!

Do you want to redesign your pantry at wholesale prices with quality products with a lifetime warranty? Just Ask!

Do you want to save time & money by cooking healthy meals for your family? Just Ask!

I love my job, my team & everyone I have met thru Tupperware! Let me share this experience with you!!

I am going to get back to my recipes & sharing what I love with all of you! Thank you for your patience during my hiatus!

Preparing for Thanksgiving - Strawberry Shortcake

Ok, it is Tuesday before Thanksgiving & we all know better than to wait till tomorrow to go to the grocery stores - RIGHT??!! I do know that the closest shopping center here will be INSANE just to get in & out of traffic.... So, question serves me - do we have enough milk??

With working with Tupperware, I have been obsessed w/ Jell-o & Jell-o Molds... why - because it is part of my childhood. We all have those memories from the holidays. Mine is Great Great Cousin Pauline's house for the Christmas Dinner... She had a large house & could make room for all of us... and there were alot of us...

I made up this Rainbow Jello Mold for one of our Girls Nights Out. It was so yummy - even tho it took forever to make... I am still thinking about making it for Thursday...

The Tupperware mold is 6 c, the recipe calls for 10 c. I had to adjust my layers as I poured them in, hence the inconsistent layer sizes. The creamy layer has vanilla yogurt added to it. It was super yummy! Even my husband ate more than just 1 piece! The kids loved it too!

Here is another recipe I found & am thinking about making. I have a great cream cheese pound cake recipe I can use for it.

Strawberry Shortcake

1 package frozen strawberries, thawed
2 - 3 cups cubed Angel food cake or pound cake
1 large package Strawberry Gelatin

Spread strawberries evenly on bottom of Jell-ring mold. Add cubed cake pieces. Prepare strawberry gelatin according to the package directions then pour over cake/strawberries. Chill for at least 24 hours. Unmold onto serving plate. Fill center with whipped cream and garnish with fresh strawberries!

Bean Pot Turkey & Dressing! Thanks Cindy!

Beanpot Turkey & Dressing •

1 ( 8-ounce ) pkg. Herbed seasoned pepperidge farm stuffing mix
1 onion Chopped
2 Celery ribs, chopped

1 cup dried cranberries
3/4 cup chicken broth
1 pkg. Turkey gravy mix
3 TBL butter melted
1 (3pound) boneless turkey breast thawed
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp dried thyme
Spray inside of bean pot with cooking spray. Add stuffing mix, onion, celery, and cranberries . Combine broth, melted butter and package of turkey gravy place turkey breast on top of mixture. Sprinkle salt, pepper & thyme over turkey breast .
Place in oven at 375 for 2.5 to 3 hours

Thanks to Cindy Mutrux for her recipe!

Round Steak & Gravy

My posts are lagging, I know. My hubs & I are sleep training our kids into their toddler beds. They are getting better, however that means less time at nap & after bed for me to post, do laundry, pick up the house, and basically watch any tv at all (I got 30 min last night - so unfair!).... All I can say is THANK YOU DVR!!

We also had a death in the family which has bogged down my gumption. Then you add all the trials & errands of normal life... and I know I am now like every other mother in the world!

I hadn't made round steak in ages & I grabbed a package impulsively last weekend. Since I didn't better prepare my meal, it was fried w/ a light flour breading in olive oil. I did try to make gravy & since my gravy is hit & miss - this one was a hit!! YUMMY!

Easy Round Steak & Gravy

4 pieces round steak, these were tenderized
1/4c flour
season salt & pepper to taste - oh how I miss Homemade Gourmet's Pepper Pzazz
Olive Oil

Heat about 1-2Tb olive oil over med hi heat in your skillet. Combine flour, season salt & pepper. Dredge your round steak in the flour mixture & fry in olive oil til golden brown on each side.

Gravy - I use less than 1/4c flour (there is no set amount) & sprinkle it over the remaining oil & drippings in the pan from the fried round steak. Stir the flour into the oil & drippings & let it "fry" for a minute or so. Add desired amount of milk to skillet, & heat till bubbly, turn to low & stir constantly till lumps are gone & gravy has thickened.  Season according to your taste w/ salt & pepper.

I am a horrible gravy maker- with exception of Sausage Gravy. I firmly believe that the best gravy comes from the best seasoned drippings. And last night's gravy left me begging for more!

After dinner, I had to can up some pears before they went bad. A friend gave me a bucketful. They were perfectly ripe & yellow, ready to be canned. Time has been running out on me lately so I had to make it work last night to finish them up. Then it was time for bed.

My sweet husband washed & folded the kids' laundry & shelled out the remaining seed beans while he watched tv last night. Now, time to get breakfast ready, costumes ready (we have costume day at the Little Gym), and find time to remember, let alone put on, some eyeliner!

Have a great week!

Fresh Strawberry Pie
  • Fresh Strawberry Pie - from myrecipes.com
  • Crust:
  • 50 reduced-calorie vanilla wafers
  • 1/4 cup butter or stick margarine, melted $
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon grated orange rind $
  • Cooking spray
  • Filling:
  • 2 cups ripe strawberries $
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice $
  • 6 cups small ripe strawberries $
  • 1/2 cup frozen reduced-calorie whipped topping, thawed and divided
Preparation
  1. Preheat oven to 350°.
  2. To prepare crust, place wafers in a food processor, and process until finely ground. Add butter, 2 tablespoons sugar, and orange rind, and pulse 10 times or just until wafers are moist. Press into bottom and up sides of a 9-inch pie plate coated with cooking spray. Bake at 350° for 15 minutes; cool on a wire rack.
  3. To prepare filling, mash 2 cups strawberries with a potato masher. Combine mashed strawberries and water in a small saucepan; bring to a boil, and cook 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Press the strawberry mixture through a sieve into a bowl, and reserve 1 cup strawberry liquid (add enough water to measure 1 cup, if necessary). Discard pulp.
  4. Combine 2/3 cup sugar and cornstarch in a pan; add strawberry liquid, stirring well with a whisk. Bring to a boil; cook 1 minute, stirring constantly. Reduce heat, and cook 2 minutes. Remove from heat; stir in lemon juice.
  5. Arrange a layer of small strawberries, stem sides down, in the crust. Spoon about one-third of sauce over the strawberries. Arrange the remaining strawberries on top, and spoon the remaining sauce over the strawberries. Chill for at least 3 hours. Serve with whipped topping.

OMG! I never new a nilla wafer crust could be so so so much better than graham crackers.

Another family favorite from my cousin in law Claire

Chocolate Silk Pie - from Claire - Thanks!!!

1 10" baked pie shell
1 lb butter at room temp
2 c sugar
4 eggs
4 squares bittersweet chocolate, melted & cooled
1 tsp vanilla

Cream butter 20 minutes. Add sugar, cream 20 minutes. Add eggs, one at a time, 5 min, after each addition. Add melted chocolate, beat 5 min. Add vanilla, beat 5 min. Pour into shell. Chill overnight for filling to firm & flavors to mellow. Top if desired w/ unsweet whip cream & chocolate curls.

Now, who needs to go to the store & get some chocolate for a pie! I know I do! :D
