chili & cornbread
Heather's Family Chili
2lbs. ground beef, cooked and drained
1small onion, chopped
3Tbsp. chili powder
18 oz. can tomato sauce 18 oz. can diced tomatoes
2cans kidney beans salt and pepper to taste
Brown ground beef with chopped onion mixed in and drain well. Add all other ingredients and mix well in the Bean Pot.
Baking options: Bake in a 250 degree oven for 3 - 4 hours.
Bake in a 350 degree oven for 1 - 2 hours.
1 1⁄2cups corn meal
1⁄2cup all-purpose flour
1 1⁄2cups buttermilk
1⁄4cup Vegetable oil
2teaspoons baking powder
1⁄2teaspoon baking soda 2 eggs
Mix together in bean pot. Place in 350 degree oven for 30 minutes
